C E E Z R Z. The first symbol is of a basket 'calathus'. The phonetic value of the symbol was determined by the acrophonic principle and the symbol may have symbolized 'container'. Numerous Egyptian symbols prior to the Greco-Roman period which symbolized a container carried the phonetic value /m/. That included the 'cup' symbol, 'basket' symbol, and probably included the trapazoid 'box' symbol.
