Not only do the trussarms from 1964 still hold out here, many of their original, Cheerful, mercury Westinghouse Silverliners still hang with them, smiling down on motorists through their increasingly grimy diffusers. The multi-columned bridge spanning the LIE is a Flushing Meadow Park walkway, although it is capable of supporting emergency vehicles. It dates from the 64-65 Worlds Fair.
