Two views above facing south, halfway between 59th Street and the aptly named Rust, given the rustbelt nature of the area's industry and appearance. A rather prominent promenade has been provided alongside the vehicular action, for pedestrains to also bypass the two at-grade rail crossings, and to do so in relative shade. The traffic seen here was a veritable jam compared with the ghostly absence of activity for much of the time I spent shooting here. |
Third shot faces north towards 59th Street. I practically had to beg for traffic to avoid having Twilight Zone-like depopulated shots. 7/14/2001. |
