    Jacob Eckrote b. 1874 (Dorrance Twp., Luzerne Co, Pennsylvania) d. 1959 ( Nanticoke, Luzerne Co., Pennsylvania) son of Joseph Eckrote and Martha Hottenstein married Mary McQuown b. 1890 (Lee, Pennsylvania) d. 1943 (Luzerne Co., Pennsylvania) daughter of John McQuown and Lydia Rinehold.

    Jacob's occupation was known to be that of a coal miner and his religion that of Methodist. The couple had ten children born to this union as follows:
