Bob Hart's Saltwater Lure Page

This page is being set aside for the results of recent saltwater lure auctions on some of the popular internet auction sites. I've noticed a lot of interest in saltwater lures over the summer and lure prices seem to keep going skyward, especially for the rarer saltwater lures by little known companies. In the last few months four auctions of saltwater lures ended with bids in all ends of the spectrum. First up was a real nice lure from Massachusetts painted in a beautiful mullet color. Made by the Hicky-Do Plug Co. & selling for $270.50, it was a pretty good buy for a real tough saltwater lure.
Next up is another Massachusetts lure, an early Capt. Bill swimmer in Frostfish color. Maybe because it was in an incorrectly marked it only sold for $38.55. Another nice saltwater lure and another great buy for the high bidder.
Last we have a two beautiful lures made by Emmerson & Ruhren of East Patterson, N.J. First a swimmer in a blue fireplug color. It sold for a whopping $811.88. Second is a popper by the same company. It also had a hefty $637.51 price tag. Congratulations to the high bidder on these two rare saltwater lures.
That's it for now!
