Bob Hart's Saltwater Lure Page

Lots of auctions of saltwater stuff last month but no real high dollar baits. People still are purchasing lures but it seems the buying frenzy that drove prices so high on some of the saltwater pieces has died down since the end of last year. Great for us collectors trying to buy a nice lure! First up was a Floyd Roman Nike made by Real Lures of Three Rivers, MA. This looks like the medium sized swimmer or Little Nike. Selling for a mere $66.67 this was a steal. It came in it's original box and was in almost excellent condition.
Second up is a nice baby jointed Masterlure Eel in River-Green color. It was excellent in the original box and sold for $123.45. Nice lure with some minor problems, paper was stuck to it but that should come off with a little careful cleaning.
Next up is a Mureel made by Charlie Murat of North Smithfield Rhode Island. It got 9 bids and ended at measly $56.00 which didn't meet the sellers reserve. Great piece!
Next up is another Emmerson & Ruhren lure. Quite a few of these lures have come up for auction in the last six months or so. Some selling, some not but this time it did sell as the seller didn't have a reserve on it. And this lure is a rare darter model, it's the first one I've seen. Final bid was $182.50. The other side has a small amount of paint missing but darters never turn up and it was a great buy for the auction winner.
Next auction was a Hicky-Do Striper Plug made by R. E. Warren in Cedarville, MA. In seldom seen Red color & in the original box, this beautiful piece went for $200.00.
Last we have Stan Gibbs popper. All white with flitter in color and in it's original box the lure sold for $31.30. Another lure with lots of colors and size varieties.
That's it for now!
