This undulating stretch between Jewel Avenue and the Long Island Expwy passes through the heart of Flushing Meadow Park, on an early Spring '98 Sunday, in which the park was filled with picnickers and families well into the setting sun, as is visible from the packed service road on the southbound side. Present and accounted for are most of Flushing Meadows landmark structures, including the New York State Pavilion on the left, the Unisphere, which stands in front of Louis Armstrong Tennis Stadium in the center and Shea Stadium on the right. |
