"The Downtown Tavern, Christmas Party 12-22-01!!!"

"Where's all the crowd? ... here's all the crowd!!!"

We hope everybody had a PHAT Christmas this year. We sure did! We played our "Twas A Coupla Nights Before X-mas" show at the Downtown Tavern last Saturday and we had a great turnout. We saw a lot of friends and also met a lot of new faces. We also had alot of people up on the stage... well, during the last three songs for the night. Where were you all? For the first 2 1/2 sets we felt like we were playing a dinner party. Do you know how dumb it feels to be the only one "jumpin around" to House of Pain... the only fool "raging" Against the Machine. Thankfully though, many of you moved up before we finished with "Bro-Hymn".

Being in the X-mas spirit we let Billy G. and his new band "Bootleg" open the show. Billy, Bobby, Okey, Tom, Guido and occasion help from Grant (playing keys, bass and sound engineer) played a great set. Nickelback, Puddle of Mud, Pearl Jam and Linkin Park. Pretty good first outing for a band that only had a week or two of practice.

It was great having another band pick up our slack. But it wouldn't have been a "Downtown" show if it wasn't for ...

This Monday, NEW YEARS EVE - Dec 31st, we're celebrating at Sweeney's Irish Pub for our annual New Years Eve party. The fun starts at 10pm and there will be a free buffet at 10:30pm! So bring yourself and a friend and get ready for a night of punk/ska & metal and celebrate the new year w/us!
