Finally, in early 2002 we received Yuki, our first one ever to do it all! After growing up a little Yuki became an American Champion and shortly after, a Canadian Champion as well. In addition to his show wins and being a great companion he also excels as a sled dog.
By 15 months of age Yuki worked his way up to lead, refusing to be in the back of the team. By 18 months of age he had learned his lead commands. What an awesome boy!! Yuki very much demonstrates the natural instinct towards sledding that the Malamute should have, as well as clean, effortless movement that gives Malamutes the endurance they need to do sled work.
Yuki has produced two very nice litters of pups to date and we plan to use him again in the future. He is the sire of Buster , Aspen and Can. Ch. Spiritrun's Picture Perfect, WTD and Can Ch. Spiritrun's Riddle Me This in Canada. He has all of his health clearances and is available at stud to approved bitches of merit who also have all of their health clearances. Owners of the bitch must be either an AMCA or AMCC member in good standing, before any consideration can be given.
On Yuki's next page he is seen finishing his Canadian Championship in the summer of 2004. It only took 2 1/2 weekends to complete his championship, even in all of his baldness!! But that makes it easy to see how much he matured over that one year span.
In 2007, Yuki earned his CGC certificate! But we already knew he was a good boy....
