~BORN TO HEAVEN~
MARCH 9, 1983
NANIMO, VANCOUVER ISLAND, BC
 


 

EIGHT YEARS AFTER KATHRYN-MARY'S DEATH, 
BUTCH WHO WAS 21 YEARS OLD COMMITTED 
SUICIDE BY HANGING.  HIS SUICIDE WAS A 
DIRECT RESULT OF KATH'S MURDER 
NOT BEING SOLVED.
 


Butch had diverse love of music. He belonged to a dance
team for a time until he moved to Nanaimo. The picture
above shows him smiling because the photographer told
them all to say s**t.  But, most of his pictures are 
un-smiling and the pain and sadness is in his eyes. We
could not help him and felt helpless as he was sinking
into another realm.  He  loved and was loved. He is still
loved and will ever be. Deep down, I know he knew this.

And we're so glad God sent you
To be with us for awhile

You filled our home with happiness
And made our life complete
The time we had with you
Was far too short, but oh so sweet. 

Some things we don't find easy
To accept or understand
Till we realize they're part of
Our Creator's perfect plan.

Now it comforts us to know
You're with the angels up above,
While in our hearts we hold you close,
