Lauren
came into this world on December 12, 1990, a beautiful baby weighing 6
pounds with long dark hair and big blue eyes. She was the first child
for Kristine and Bryan. She was also the first grandchild and neice on
her mother's side of the family. She was adored at first sight, we fell
instantly in love with the little
bundle of
joy. She was always a sweet, kind and caring little person, very helpful
and always willing to share. She was one of those children that you just
couldn't help but love, and she had a lot of love to give also.
She was a Christian
and had accepted Jesus into her heart, she loved going to the youth group
meetings at her church. She was waiting to be Baptized, but unfortunately,
that was never to be. A few months before her death she told her mother
that she was
seeing Angels,
she said that they were in her room and they were going to take her. Her
mother would go look and of course, she saw nothing. Lauren was adamant
about what she saw and would never change her story, we thought that she
had a vivid imagination. Her mother even heard her saying "I love Jesus,
go
away Angels",
over and over.
On Sunday,
April 16, 2000, Lauren, her paternal grandmother, Mary Stokes and
paternal aunt, Darlene Doginnari went to Wal-Mart where they had Lauren's
portraits taken. When they were finished there they left to run some errands.
Mary was driving, Lauren was in the passenger seat and Darlene in the backseat,
upon attempting
a left turn from a major highway they were struck on the passenger side
by a van doing 65 mph. Lauren was killed on impact, Mary and Darlene lived
just a short while.
Since Lauren's
death our family has turned to The Lord for comfort, He has been there
for us every step of the way. We try not to question Him, but take comfort
in knowing that she is in Heaven waiting for us and will never suffer again,
in any way.
Lauren is survived
by her parents, Kristine and Bryan, her maternal grandparents, Gene and
Joyce, siblings, Christopher(8) and Faith(4), aunt Dana, uncle Kevin, greatgrandmother
Shirley, numerous other family, friends and family on her father's side.
We miss her
more than words can say, she will always be our "Special Angel".
Joyce Allman,
Lauren's Nanny Forever
