Convert latitude and longitude from degree decimal to degree, minutes, and seconds ~ Tested in IE6.0, Netscape8.1, Opera8.54, Firefox1.5.0.3 and AOL Explorer1.2

C onvert latitude and longitude from degree decimal to degree, minutes, and seconds and vice versa. This script will also find the farthest point from the point entered, as well as the distance.

We have tested the code in IE6.0, Firefox1.5.0.3, Opera8.54, Netscape8.1 and AOL Explorer1.2. This script worked well in all platforms with no variations observed.

D epending on your knowledge of HTML and javascripts, this is an easy three (30 part copy and paste code that goes in both the <HEAD> and <BODY> sections of your document. It also makes use of an external .js script you need to save and upload into your directory.

O ther than cosmetic reconfigurations (font color, and the table we placed around the effect) which are made within the <BODY> section of the code there are no reconfigurations. Just study the <BODY> section and add a font tag where you want different colored font.

Little Extra Not Included In The Script: For the table, if you want to surround the effect with this, just add the below:

Step One Is to copy/cut and paste a section of code into a notepad and save as latitude.js

Step Two Is to upload the saved latitude.js file into your directory.

Step Three Is to now paste the below into the <HEAD> section of your document to call the external .js file you have uploaded into your directory.

Step Four Is to paste the final section of code anywhere in the <BODY> section you want this effect to appear.
