e have tested the code in IE5.5, IE6 and Netscape4. This script worked well in all platforms tested with the following variations observed in Netscape4.08.
1) Gradual and instant sharpen image does not function on mouseover.
2) Buttons just appear as regular buttons, not blurred until mouseover.
3) No error message appears in Netscape4.
4) Will function correctly in Netscape6.

There are butons inside the above table! They do not show well on dark backgrounds!
This is a very subtle effect to add to your pages if you want or use graphic links on your pages that activate on mouseover. As you can see in our above examples, they do not show up well on black or dark colored backgrounds. There are two different effects that you can choose from. Either a gradual change or an instant change on mouseover. The tutorial is exactly the same, just the codes are slightly different. Follow the below link to see the instant change on mouseover. It will open in a small pop up window for your convenience. These scripts have been updated on 27 March, 2002 and will work in both IE and Netscape6.

Depending on your knowledge of HTML and java scripts, this is a very easy effect to add to your pages. First, find the images you want to use as links and upload them to your editor. Then it is a two part, copy and paste code that on parts gets pasted into the <HEAD> section of your document and then insert the last part into every <img src> tag that is preceded by an <a href> tag that you want this effect to appear. Since this is an extremely easy effect to add plus the site you get the script from has an excellent howto for this effect, we didnot feel a full tutorial was needed.
