Send A Web Page As An HTML Page

Not As An Attachment
Via Yahoo! Email

".....I want to send an html page as an email... I don't want it to be an attachment. I want the receivers to view my HTML page rather than its code. I hope you understand my problem. If you are interested in helping.. Thanks, I hope you would help me solve this problem......"

W e do understand your problem but let us advise you that sending a complete web page may cause you problems. Web pages are rather large depending on the amount of images, text, scripts etc., that are on the page.

A lso if you have java scripts on the page or certain HTML tags such as <marquee> tags, it will not function properly when sent.

I f you are using Yahoo! email what you need to do is copy the complete source code of the page you want to send and paste it in the body of the email. Then be sure to check "HTML Tags Allowed" under the compose box and then preview it to see how you like it. After you preview it, send it to yourself to see the finished document.

A lso, once you place the HTML page in the body of your email and if you decide to send it, any other text messages within the email body Must be written as pure HTML or it will be run-on sentences and look terrible.

W e have tested it prior to answering you and all our pages are on a black background. It altered the background page color to white in the transmitted email and the font color did not show because in the html codes it is set to be seen from a black background. We could not read most of our text because of this. We also had a <marquee> on the page that caused everything from the marquee tag down to have that effect.

D epending on the host you use for your web site, many hosts such as Angelfire, Geocities etc. Do Not allow remote hosting of images. What this means is that if your site is hosted by one that does not allow the remote loading of images, your images will not appear in the email. All you will see is an X or the default host image (such as the below) instead of your images.

Angelfire Default Image

Y ou can try it and send it to yourself to see how it looks before you decide to do this.

O ur personal recomendation is not to send a complete web page like this. It is better just to add a hyperlink of some sort or a hyperlink banner to open your web page. After looking over the copy you send to yourself, this is your choice on if you want to or not.

S ending ad banners and such do not apply to the above recomendations. Ad banners and HTML on a small scale without the scripts work quite well using this technique.

A gain if you have Yahoo! as your default in Outlook, Outlook Express etc., it will not work at all if sent through Outlook, etc.
