M ost people would not even think of hidden links besides looking at a source code. This is why this is a great little trick if you need only certain people to have the "Need To Know" where it is without getting loud and attracting attention to it like with a login page that is visible. You can have a login page that the link to it is hidden and only certain people you delegate will know where the hidden link is located.
I f you have any pages that you only want certain people to know about certain links, you can use this little trick. Just make the link text either the same color as the page it is on or do not designate any text and just have a space before the closing link tag. In other words, this is a black page and the color of the hidden link text will be black. There is a hidden link somewhere on this page, see if you can find it. When you do, click on it and it will give you the howto on having this effect on your pages.
W e have inserted two hidden links on this page. One is designated by just the apostrophe ' character. That one you can find by seeing the hint. The other one we did not use any text but a single space in between the URL and the closing </a> link tag. See if you can find that one without viewing our source code.
I
f you do not want to attempt to find the "Hidden" links to see howto do this effect, you can grab the below link that other than the [ ] enclosing our link with text, we have hidden it by changing the link color to our page color of black.

Y ou can view our source code and see the second hidden link if you like (We Have It Well Marked On The Source Code ~ See Below On How) but try and find it without it if you can. Even if you right click* on the page and then "Select All"*, you still will not see any evidence of the second hidden link. You can see the apostrophe (') designated link by doing this but not so with the other hidden link.
* Internet Explorer.
Netscape Must high-light everything with cursor. Left click and hold button down on page and drag cursor from top to bottom of page.

A ll we are doing here is basically overriding the default link colors set forth within the <BODY> tag to hide the link from view.
T
he last thing we will cover is adding a login page that is hidden from view. At the bottom of this page, if not for the [ ] enclosing the hidden link, you would not see the link that will open in a new window with a login access (disabled) on it. Also the below link (not hidden) will give you access to all our files covering password protection, security etc.
