I f you are as interested in history as The Consigliere™, you will really appreciate this little sniplet of code. It constantly updates itself every time the page is refreshed. You can have up to 10 different tidbits of history right on your site. Just click on either this link or the one below the effect that says, "Compliments of [ TodayInHistory.com ]" and establish a free account. Just paste the code anywhere in the <BODY> section of your document where you want it to appear. This above link will take you directly to the page you need to register and get your code. The link below the effect will take you to the main page where you need to scroll to the bottom and find the link for "Add TodayInHistory to your site!Click Here".*
* Notice in the above when you placed your cursor over the Click Here" and a link designation (hand with finger) appeared but it is not a link. This is achieved by the use of CSS <span> </span> tags. If you would like to know howto add these little effects into your page(s), just grab the below link and you are there.

W e have tested the code in IE6.0, Firefox1.5.0.1, Opera8.52, Netscape7.02, Netscape8.0.4 and AOL Explorer1.2. This script worked well in all platforms with no variations observed.

We also have come across by accident a really unique site that will get you all kinds of information about any date you specify from 1800 to 2002.".....although data for the years 1800 - 1875 is probably spotty. The latest headlines for 2003 may not yet be available, so you might need to type in your own.....". All the information you find can be printed out in a very nice format for your keeping.
