When you move your mouse over the above links, a hint or something about the link will appear below the link in a scrolling fashion. When you move your mouse out, the scrolling will stop.

Since there are many different reconfigurations that can be made within this script, each of the above links will show you a different reconfiguration.

We have tested the code in IE6.0, Firefox1.0.6,, Firefox1.5.0.5, Opera8.02, Opera9.0, Netscape7.02, Netscape8.0, Netscape8.1 and AOL Explorer1.2. This script worked in IE6.0, Opera8.02 and AOL Explorer1.2. only. In all other platforms tested you will not see the scroll effect. It degrades well and you will not get any error messages.

Depending on your knowledge of HTML and javascripts, this is a two 2 part copy and paste code that goes in both the <HEAD> and <BODY> sections of your document with reconfigurations in both parts.

For your Information: On the site you get the copy and paste code, it is set up as a complete HTML document. You need to weed out the unnecessary parts of the document and copy and paste the code itself in their respective locations within your document.

The below section which we shall make with a starting point and an ending point are the instructions from the code itself and part of the material you need not copy and paste into your document.

To use this JavaScript, view the source of this document. First, you must copy the script and place it in the <HEAD> section. Then, you must copy the <DIV> section and place it wherever you want it in the <BODY>. All the required sections are marked by the comments

scroll_length : Scroll length variable (150 here)
time_length : Speed of scroll (50 here, meaning after 50 milliseconds the hint will change position by 1 pixel i.e a speed of 20 pixels/second)
begin_pos : Beginning position of hint (300 here)
