We hope that everyone had an enjoyable St. Patrick's Day celebration the way we did here at Consigliere Ltd.

We think we have finally settled on the new colors for the news letter. Even after our poll, we have received pressure from (to coin a phrase) "Powers Greater Than Us" about the colors. So, in retrospect, these shall now be the "Official" colors of our letter.

Every once and a while something will come across Consigliere's desk that he feels he wants to share with everyone. So each week we shall post something different that he wants us to share with you. Just click on the "Desk" to see the article.

Each week we add a little tip to assist you in your web building. Some of the things you already know and sometimes you will come across a thing or two that you wanted but did not know where to find it. This week we will feature
"Single Page Link Anchors"

If you have a long page with lots of info, you may want to provide relative links to sections of your page from a menu of links. To do this you use the # symbol in your A HREF code. For example, let's say you have three links on your page that you wish to target from the top of your page. All you need to do is to create the anchors with the Name Tag. Then you source your hyperlinks at the top of the page, referencing the # symbol. It's easier than it sounds.

<A HREF="#MIDDLE">Page Middle</A><BR>

<A HREF="#BOTTOM">Page Bottom</A><BR>

These hyperlinks will jump to the anchors you create throughout your page. You can call them anything you like, as long as they relate to the hyperlinks:

This appears at the top of the page.

<A NAME="MIDDLE"></A>
This references info at the middle of the page.

<A NAME="BOTTOM"></A>
This anchors to the bottom of the page.

Help!!!!! I am having the worst time with tables. I just can't seem to be able to get the hang of them. I can't get them to work right and get the border around them. Are there any little tricks or short cuts to this?

There ar no real short cuts to tables and you do need a good working knowledge of HTML coding. We can show you the easiest way to begin with a basic table with the border and then send you to our full tutorial on tables and borders.

Any tag that you open within the table, you must close at the end of the table! By closing it you must add the same opening tag but with the / to it as this </font>.
