From The Desk Of The Consigliere™

Well, another week has gone by and as usual, the staff at Consigliere™ Ltd. has been busy as usual updating and adding new and improved stuff for your use. We, like the rest of the country are trying to rebuild our lives and go on.

The Consigliere's™ Staff (as he affectionately refers to them as) "The Brainiacs" have put their combined minds together again and have come up with another idea. Whenever we feature a website in our weekly letter, we shall besides placing the letter in our archive files, also design a link banner for that site and place it on the top of that particular news letter. We will also give the below little plaque to that webmaster to place on their site with a link back to the respective news letter of record. If we feature more than one site, we shall build an individual letter for each respective site.

The Consigliere™ and his entire staff would like to take the time to thank Blinky for sending us the above link. All of us at Consigliere™ Ltd. feel very strongly about this matter and support it 100%. What these people have done is to establish world wide prayer support for the President of the United States and his Cabinet in these times of monumentus decisions that can and will change the world as we know it.

By displaying their seal in the window of your car, you are telling everyone that you support and pray for the President. Our Design Staff has also enhanced their seal and have adapted it so you can also display your support on your web pages. Please take the time to read this and show your support. Since the influx of the free website hosts more and more people are wanting to build web sites. Since it can be quite confusing for the first time when you look at the editor and just stare at it with what The Consigliere™ refers to as the 1000 yard stare. We have also been getting more and more questions on the way to upload an image into the web shell editor and post the image to the web pages. We have built what we feel is a very extensive section on this that covers every aspect of the process. Depending on your host and editor, there may be slight differences but the process still will be basically the same to upload. We have also included HTMl codes and links to image optimization etc.

Each week we add a little tip to assist you in your web building. Some of the things you already know and sometimes you will come across a thing or two that you wanted but did not know where to find it. This week we will feature
"File Last Updated"

If you have a site that you want to make active-looking, the best way to do it is by having a date somewhere, showing when it was updated. This makes it seem as if you have updated. Even if you haven't changed anything, it still looks good to say you have.

Although sometimes you may not have time to change the date on the page to show updates. This is why Javascript is so handy. This little snippet of code is enough to show the date and time of the update. Well actually, it is just the current date and time. But your visitors wont know that. So you get the professional look and feel without doing anything.

Here is the code:

If you would like to change the font style, color and size of the updated time and date, just add a font tag in front of the script and close it after the script. The above example reflects a full font tag with the script.

All you have to do is copy and paste this code where ever you want it to appear in the <BODY> section of your document.

I hope you can help me. I have seen the effect on a few web sites and don't know where to find it. It is a slide in menu that on mouseover comes out with the links. I have even gone as far as to email the sites, but the best they can do is acknowledge me but do not remember where they found it either. Can you help me?
