From The Desk Of The Consigliere™

Well, another week has gone by and as usual, the staff at Consigliere™ Ltd. has been busy as usual updating and adding new and improved stuff for your use. We, like the rest of the country are trying to rebuild our lives and go on.

Our news letter server will be down all weekend from Friday afternoon to Sunday afternoon. If you experience any links that cannot be accessed, it is because of the relocation process that will be done by late Sunday afternon.

This week we have been sent a transmission from Christi telling us about her new site she has just finished. This one pertains to Daviess County, Indiana, railroads. She writes and told us the site along with the nostalgia of the railroads of Daviess County, also offers backgrounds pertaining to the railroad industry, drawings of various vintage steam locomotives and railroad logos. This site along with her other one that is dedicated to the life and times of the beloved "Red Skelton" are really worth your while to see. Why don't you stop by and pay her a visit.

If you have noticed on our opening pages of our site we have changed it slightly. Besides having it load much faster, instead of rotating the banners that we have been asked to display (Free of charge), we have all our banners now on one page and also are "Slowly" positioning these banners on different pages of our site. Each of the displayed banners are placed on between 10 to 15 of our different indexed pages. We hope to have this completed by next week. This is so everyone who has linked to us gets even more exposure with their site instead of just one banner display.

I was wondering if you have or know where I can find the little button that will close a page if it has been opened in a new window instead of clicking on the X at the top of your browser window?

This is not problem and is very easy to do. All that is required is a little java script form button. Below is the copy and paste code with both the button and the hyperlink to close a window.

The above two little sniplets of code will do exactly what you want. As you notice, you have a choice of either the form button or a regular link to achieve the effect you want.
