Congratulations
The Award Staff would like to congratulate "Roger" aka "The Drifter" for submitting his site "One Proud Marine" for consideration in our Award Of Excellence program.
After careful consideration he was proudly awarded our Award Of Excellence.
"The Drifter" served The United States proudly as a Marine for over 17 years. His site reflects the life and times of his proud, decorated military career. You should stop in and pay his site a visit. It is worth the trip.
Everyone has always seen the expression "Semper Fi" when referring to the Marines, but does everyone know what it means?
It is the Marine Corps motto which was shortened from "Semper Fidelis" which means "Always Faithful". The basic meaning behind this is quite simple. "Once A Marine, Always A Marine". As with all branches of the military, it is a bond that once made is never broken.
Midi By Accident
Besides being an avid "History Buff", The Consigliere™ also has a great love for Rock and Roll Music from the 1950's, 1960's & 1970's. (Not that we would ever "Age" The Consigliere™) but.... He was brought up on Belmont Ave. in "Da Bronx" N.Y. USA and used to hang out on the corner and listen to Dion And The Belmonts (if anyone remembers them) sing.
While we were looking for something, we came across one of the greatest midi sites we have seen in a long time.
Leslie's Midi Collection, which features mostly files (free for downloading) of rock and roll music from The Consigliere's™ "Era". It also does have Christmas music and Chinese golden oldies.
He (Consigliere) told us to pass this site along to everyone. If you don't know how to download a midi file and save it to your hard drive, it is quite simple. Just right click on the file you want and then when the box pops up, just "Save Target As" to your hard drive.

From The Consigliere's Desk
|
Every once and a while something will come across Consigliere's™ desk that he feels he wants to share with everyone. So each week we shall post something different that he wants us to share with you. Just click on the "Desk" to see the article.
This week we would like to thank "Blinky" for submitting this weeks article titled
"What Do Women Really Want". This is actually a true to life statement that is being made. Our feeling on this is quite simple. In a so-called "Male Dominated Society", there is no superior gender. Everyone, male and female are equal and intitled to the same benefits and opportunities. The day of the "Male" dominated society is over. Male or Female are afforded the same opportunities according to their qualifications, not gender.
