Can't Make You Love Me - Chapter 4
"Yeah, but not after five." I didn't think so anyway. Chris never did say I could definitely come to wherever he was going.
"Oh. Well how would you like a surprise for that night then?"
"Why not?" I'd have a big day, but it would be with two of the best guys in the world, so I wasn't worried. Greg specified times and what I should wear (I asked him about that), and I hung up the phone, only to pick it up again and dial Ally's number.

Wednesday finally rolled around, and I was all set to go. Sort of. My friend Megan had slept over on Tuesday night and she was in the process of helping me pick out my clothes. I decided to take a shower while she tore apart my dresser and closet looking for the perfect outfit.
"Eureka!" she yelled through the bathroom door.
"Be right there!" I laughed. A half an hour later, I was all ready, for real this time. Megan had chosen a pair of shorts that were faded from white to purple and a lavender spaghetti strap. My feet were decorated with translucent lavender flip-flops, as I tried to paint my toenails white. She stood back to admire her masterpiece, fighting her wavy red hair into a ponytail at the top of her head.
"I like!" she mused, after winning the hair battle. Megan's taller than I am, so she could probably see a little better than I could in the mirror. I hate being short sometimes.
The doorbell rang as I finished applying my new lip-gloss. Megan had left about 5 minutes ago, so I dashed to get the door. He looked so cute! Chris was wearing khakis and a black T-shirt, had his usual spiky hairdo, and held out a single purple flower for me.
"How did I know you'd be wearing purple?" he grinned mischievously. I raised an eyebrow and pretended to think he had a secret.
"I don't know," I finally decided. I stepped out the door and Chris folded my hand into his. We talked as we wandered through the big city, meandering around the bustling passers-by.
"Where do you go to school? I applied for a new one this year," I asked, remembering I wouldn't be seeing my friends between my studies this year. He told me and wanted to know where I applied. (And I do know. If anyone wants to know, email me.)
"Oh my gosh, I applied to your school! That's where I'm going now!" I exclaimed. How narmay is that?! (Sry, inside joke… it means nifty.)
"What classes did you audition for?"
"Dance and musical theatre."
"Well, I'll probably see you in class then," he smiled.
"Yay!" I giggled. We learned a lot about each other throughout the afternoon. I told Chris about my plans for Broadway and he brought up his past experiences on those stages. I was surprised that he was cast in the shows when he was so young, but he's very talented. And sexy, and sweet, and… ok, I could go on forever but I'll stop.
After lunch, we passed a little sunglass booth on the sidewalk. I guess one pair caught his eye because he stopped short, which yanked my arm back since my hand was still in his grasp. He picked up a pair of purple shades that were just adorable. He placed them on me and said,
"You like them?"
"Are you kidding?! I love them!" Chris picked out his own pair, bought the two, and proceeded to tell me about his obsession with sunglasses. It was 4 when Chris and I arrived at my house.
"Thank you so much!" I laid a kiss on Chris's cheek. "Call me, ok?"
"Alright. See ya, babe." He smiled and was gone. I dashed to my room to make any touch-ups that were necessary before Greg picked me up at 4:30.
