~*Crista's Hope*~

Chapter 9

"Hey Crista," she heard her dad yell from downstairs. Almost a week had past since she moved. She was settled in with her dad and practicing for the upcoming tour she was going on opening up for Youngstown. "Yeah dad," she said running downstairs. "You got this in the mail," he said shrugging handing her a small package. She got a puzzled look and took it from him and running upstairs. She cut open the package and inside was was a folded up piece of paper and a snow globe. She picked it up and saw a fairy inside with green clothing and long blonde hair. On the outside it was was decorated with flowers and vines with her name on it. Glitter was inside and when it was wound up it played the midsummer's night fairy song. She put it down on her dresser with a smile and then turned back to the note. She opened it to what looked like either a poem or song lyrics...

"I Miss You"
Sitting here in my room alone
Got the radio on
And it's playing our song
I keep your picture beside my bed
And as I hold it so close
I keep hearing you saying
I love you
And wherever I am
I'm thinking of you
So until you come back to me...
i'll Send my love to you straight from the heart
Baby I miss you
Baby I miss you
I feel you so near though we're so far apart
Baby I miss you
Baby I miss you
Tears like rain falling from my eyes
As we said our goodbyes
I could feel my heart break
Only emptiness filled my soul
I was half not whole
But I pray you'll come back
Because I love you
Ooh I love you
And I want you to know I'm thinking of you
Every hour of the day, baby
I'll send my love to you straight from the heart
Baby I miss you, baby I miss you
I feel you so near though we're so far apart
Baby I miss you, baby I miss you ~**~
And if the distance keeps you from my side
It won't change my mind
I'll be waiting for you
And even though yesterday has gone
We can dream for today
and Believe in tomorrow
I'll send my love to you straight from the heart
Baby I miss you
baby I miss you
I feel you so near
Though we're so far apart
Baby I miss you
Baby I miss you
I'll send my love to you straight from the heart
Baby I miss you
Baby I miss you
I feel you so near though we're so far apart
Baby I miss you
Baby I miss you
You know I'm so lost...without you
Sending all my love to you
Straight from the heart
Baby I miss you
I'll be sending all my love to you
Straight from the heart
Baby I miss you, you know I do
I'll be sending all my love to you
Straight from the heart
Baby I miss you
I'll be sending all my love to you
Straight from the heart
Baby I miss you

"Hmm" she thought outloud. It didnt seem familar at all. She checked everywhere for a name or address but there was nothing. She shrugged but was awefully flattered by whoever had sent it . "Maybe it's someone from the neighboorhood, hey a fan already!" she said laughing.

"Hmmm...hmm. mm mm hmm," Crista hummed as she strumed the guitar on her lap. "No, try it with more MM then HM," her dad said coaching her with his own guitar sitting right next to her. "Ugh its been so long since I've played this song. How could I forget, I mean it's the first song you ever taught me!" she said with a hint of frustration in her voice. "C'mon I know you'll get it. It's in your blood," he said smiling. Just then the doorbell rang. "I'll get it," she said putting her guitar down and running to the door. She opened it only to find no one there. "Hello?" she asked stepping out and looking around. Her foot hit something and she looked down to see a single long stem white rose in perfect heatlh and full bloom with a little card attatched. She picked it up and walked inside reading it. "Another mysterious gift," her dad said, this was the 3rd thing she'd gotten that week. Only 2 days ago she got a small stuffed wolf wich is her favorite animal. Each thing had some kind of message with it. "Yeah, I don't get it, who's sending them?" she asked."I dunno but it seems someone around her has got a thing for you," her dad said with a smirk. "I dont get it, I mean obviously this person knows me. They're giving me my favorite things. I dont tell many people about my fairy ossesion you know," she said shutting the door. "I dunno, can you think of any old friends from the last time you were here?" he asked. "Not that I can think of," she said. "Oh well, if they like you this much to spend all this money on gifts for you they will show themselves sooner or later," he said. "I guess," Crista said not knowing what to think. She sat back down and began to rehearse again.

That same night Crista was in her room just watching tv when she heard something outside. She opended her window and looked down, there was something there by the bush. "Another gift, when will the madness end," she said with a groan as she ran outside. There was a whole thing of white roses this time with a necklace with a fairy on it and photograph of a wolf by her favorite photographer. She picked them up and read the note asking her to meet him by the lake in Cherry Creek park. She ran uptairs and put the things in her room. "Dad look," she said handing him the note, he got a worried expression. "Isn't that awesome, I finally get to meet my secret admirer!" she said excitedly. "Crista I don't want you going," he said, Crista's face turned into a frown instantly. "But why not!" she asked. "Crista isn't it obvious. Why would this "mystery" guy wanna meet you by the lake at night. Its way too dangerous," he said. Crista's dad had always been overprotective of his little girl before but now after loosing her once he wasnt going to let it happen again permanently. "Ugh dad, you know me I'm the safest person in the world! And I must know this person! They know so much about me," she said. "Crista ever heard the word stalker? These weirdos can find out anything about you. It's probably a new fan of yours, hun these things happen when you gain popularity as a musician. I know, I've been there," he said. "But dad..." she tried to say. "I'm sorry Crista" she said shaking his head. She just got even more angry and ran upstairs locking her door. She looked at the gifts sitting on her dresser and sighed then glancing at her window. "Oh of course," she said with a smile. She grabbed her coat and opened her window looking down. "I had totally forgot the advantages this window once gave me," she said to herself climbing down carefully. When she got close to the bottom she jumped down and checked inside the window to see her dad sleeping peacefully on the couch. "This is too eas!" she said with a smile. She ran to the park and sat looking at the lake nervously cracking her fingers. "Ahem" she hear someone say behind her. She stood up and turned around in total shock. "Jesse?"
