While doing web research on the Martensville case, I came across a lot of information about another alleged multi-victim multi-offender (MVMO) SRA case that began in 1991, shortly before the Martensville case, in nearby Saskatoon. In the Sasketoon case, there were quite a few recent developments in 2002 to 2004.I have not yet had time to do further research on the Saskatoon case or even to read all the news stories about it that I've come across already. However, since I've already found so much information about it by sheer serendipity, I decided that I might as well share what I found. At some point later, I'll come back to this page, read all the articles linked below, do some further web research, and then write my own summary and commentary.
First, here is a brief introductory summary, The Saskatoon, Seskatchewan Ritual Abuse Hoax: "The Scandal of the Century", on the website of the Ontario Consultants on Religious Tolerance.
Second, here is some background about the Klassen/Kvello malicious prosecution on InjusticeBusters - includes a large collection of news stories about the original case back in the early 1990's. Also on InjusticeBusters is Sept-Oct 2003: The Klassen/Kvello civil action.
Third, below is a large collection of news stories I found on ReligionNewsBlog. Mostly they deal with recent developments in 2002 to 2004, but some stories also include background on the original case.
