Rev Dave
Wilkinson:
"Thank you
so much for sharing these details of Our Children's Memorial Walkway.
We would like to begin the process here...We have already introduced the
idea to our Mayor, who is very supportive as he and his wife lost a baby
a few years ago...Today-March 29, 2004-marks the fifth anniversary of this
SOUND BITES e-mail ministry. SOUND BITES was begun on March 29, 1999
in memory of my son, Dustin, who died a year before on March 29, 1998.

Thank you for
mailing the newsletter to us! We share the poems with bereaved parents
who come to our GriefShare
Jim & Dinah
Taylor whose son, Jim, died in a car accident:
Since young
Jim's death, I write a newspaper for grieving parents ~ LAMENTATIONS ~
and have an annual conference: J.I.M.s (Joining In Memory) Conference.
It will be June 4-5 this year. For more info, use the web site: http://www.cumberlandcollege.edu/lamentations/joininginmemory.html
Barbara &
Charles Connell, whose nephew, Kevin Brewer, died when a 4-wheeler turned
over on him:
I really enjoy
the newsletter & am very appreciative of everything that you are doing.
It is a wonderful service & help to people like me. My prayers
are with you always.
Hilda Hayes
who lost her son, Robert Hodges, in 2000 to suicide:
It's just very
painful. Some days are better than others. I'm thankful for
the time I had with my son and of course, wish there could have been more.
I have my memories good & bad. And I thank God for having him.
Of course, I feel guilt, but I know God knows I did the best I could at
the time and so did my son. The love never fades and the memories
are always cherished. Thanks for giving me some closure with you
wonderful Children's Walkway. We are all God's childen ~ no matter
what the age.
Pat Weaver
whose son, Andy, died of a rare form of brain cancer:
Andy is survived
by his older brother, Tyler. He was 36 years old when he died, the
same age his Dad was when he died in 1973 of a heart attack. I miss
them both greatly.
Carol Lee who
lost her son, Chad Knight, in a motorcycle accident:
One of my co-workers
lost her daughter in December and I think that she has been in touch with
you...I have been trying to help her as much as I can. It is still
hard to accept my loss, but I have two new granddaughters and they are
such a joy, but Chad should be here, he would have been a great uncle to
them. My stepdaughter had a little girl in Sept. and my son and his
wife had a little girl last month.
Kathy Little
who lost her brother, Bill Toms Jr. by drowning:
When I get
up Wednesday morning and checked my e-mails, there it was-you e-card letting
us know how much you care and how you had not forgotten the two year anniversary
of Bill's death. It was so nice to know that someone remembered and
I don't have to tell you how much that means because you know. Thank
you for your love, for all you do, and for always thinking of others.
Bobbie Ward
lost her son Shawn in an auto accident
For many years
now she has been fighting cancer, undergoing chemotherapy etc. She
appreciates the cards acknowledging prayers etc. If you would like
to send her a card of encouragement, write:

the grandparents, my husband's Aunt Sheila, 4 brothers, her sister and
nephew. I must be strong for them and for the neighbors, friends
