~NANA'S LITTLE
ANGEL~
She was a little
miracle,
An angel from
above.
She filled
our days with happiness.
She filled
our days with love.
I will never
forget the day
That Madeline
was born.
Oh, joyful
day! Oh, happy day!
That early
Sunday morn.
She was so
sweet and cuddly,
Truly an angel
to behold.
I could rock
her for hours on end and never tire.
Oh, those
times ~ more precious than gold.
She grew into
such a bright little girl;
So full of
energy, life and love.
She loved
to explore God's beautiful world;
To see the
birds that fly above.
She loved to
listen to music;
To dance to
a bluegrass song.
She loved
to play with Kitty.
She would
carry him all day long.
She loved to
pick the flowers;
To see the
waves wash onto the shore.
She loved
to go out to play at the park.
And, oh, so
much more.
She had a special
mission here;
To save her
Nana from despair.
She taught
me how to live, how to love,
How to forgive
and forget, how to care.
She taught
me to have patience;
To think before
I speak,
To place other's
needs before my own;
To be gentle,
mild & meek.
Oh, how I long
to hold her;
To kiss her
head so sweet.
But now she's
Nana's little angel,
Playing at
Jesus's feet.
I never, never
will understand
Why she had
to leave so soon
But now she's
Nana's little angel,
Dancing to
a heavenly tune.
Dear Jesus,
when my time comes,
I won't tarry,
I won't be late.
Just send
Nana's little angel
To lead me
to the Pearly Gate.

Lynne's aunt,
Janice Stillman, set the above poem to music
and recorded
it on an album entitled "Adoration." So far as
I can tell,
