Adventure 2
Amon Hen...
After sailing down the Anduin River for a few days, the current took us swiftly to the Gates of Argonath, a narrow passage between two cliffs. We came to the three great hills before the Falls of Rauros: Amon Lhaw on the east, Tol Brandir in the middle of the river, and Amon Hen on the west. We drew up the boats at the foot of Amon Hen, and we went no further on the river. It was here that we decided to make the final decision to go to Minas Tirith or to Mordor.
In the morning, Aragorn sat us all down and told the group that it was up to me, the Ring-Bearer, to make the decision. As the burden was heavy, I asked for an hour alone to make my choice, and it was granted.
I wandered around for a bit, and wound up at the foot of Amon Hen. There, I sat to think. After a while I got a strange and uncomfortable feeling so, I quickly turned around. I was surprised to see Boromir standing there. He began to speak and we had a few friendly words. He tried to convince me to go to Minas Tirith and to use the Ring for good. When I refused to do both and tried to explain that the Ring was evil and anything tried for good would turn evil, he got angry. His pleasant face and eyes changed into a hot and raging fire and he lunged at me. I didn't know what else to do to get away, as he was twice my size, and probably possessed four times my strength, so I put on the Ring and ran up to the top of Amon Hen.
Suddenly, I felt the Eye. It had become aware of me and was looking for me. It has almost found me when a voice came into my head: "Take it off! Fool, take it off! Take off the Ring!" I pulled and pulled at the Ring. Finally it came off, just before the Eye touched on Amon Hen. I rose to my feet, and realized what I had to do.
