When the autumn breezes come
And the leaves change their hues
I will close my eyes with love
I will always remember you
When someone needs a hand
Like you once used to do
I will reach out my hand
I will always remember you
When the nights get hard and lonely
And the tears come so soon
I will wipe them away as always
Because I'll always remember you
When Christmas comes around
As it does each and every year
I will feel the heartstrings tug
For another year you're not here
When I get to the point
That I don't know what to do
I will smile through my tears
For I'll always remember you
When my life is nearing the end
And my heart knows that it's time
I will hold out my hand
And tell God that you are mine
No matter how much time passes
In the years we've been apart
I'll always remember you my child
And hold you in my heart
