~MOM~
Mom, there's
something I want to tell you
And I'm not
sure how to start
But before
I go on
I love you
with all my heart
You taught
me to be a survivor
And said,
only depend on me
You just didn't
tell me how hard
Sometimes
life can really be
Or maybe you
did
And I just
did not understand
You said set
a goal and dream
And fulfill
all that you plan
You told me
to raise my children
The way you
raised me
And listen
to my own heart
Common sense
I
would see
You told me
nothing was impossible
To soar for
the stars
You said,
"Always think of God"
No matter
where you are
You told me
so many things
All throughout
my life
You taught
me so many things
About being
a good wife
You taught
me wisdom
In only the
ways a mother will
You taught
me love
And told me
life is sometimes uphill
You taught
me how to fight
When the going
got rough
You told me
never to give up
Stay decent,
honest and tough
So I've passed
on to my children
All the things
that you taught me
I hope you
know how much
You wisdom
made me see
I can't be
with you on Mother's Day
For heaven
is so far
But I know
you know I love you
Wherever you
are
I promised
you all the things
That you asked
me to do
I'm doing
those things Mom
I want to
be like you
And if the
angels call early
As they did
when you went away
I hope I can
pass onto my children
The things
I learned along life's way
God called
you Home too early
For there
were things left undone
I wasn't finished
raising my children
They were
still so very young
But know that
they know you Mom
From the stories
that I've told
You'll never
be far away Mom
Your heart
was never old.
In Memory of
my Mother
