Today I shall have heart tugs
As each year I always do
Today I will remember
When your life on earth was through

Today I will remember
The years that we had
And think of you my child
Even though it makes me sad

Today I will never forget
As each day I never do
How much my heart aches
Loving and missing you

Today I'll light the candle
For peace in my heart
And remember my angel
When death made us part

But today my child
I'll smile through my tears
And always wish God had given me and you
Just a few more earthly years

Today my child
Tomorrow too
A century from today
I'll never stop loving you
