~WHEN
I'M LONELY~
Whenever I
get lonely
And thoughts
are of you
I remember
all the good times
And the things
we used to do
I remember
the feel of your hair
As it gently
touched my arm
The laughter
as I wrapped you up
After a shower,
in my arms
The delight
when I said,
"We're having
hot dogs for dinner today"
The squeals
of laughter and happiness
As you said,
"I hoped that's what you'd say!"
I remember
watching you from the window
As you played
in the back yard
Army men and
Tonka trucks
Playing alone
you never found hard
I remember
the quiet times at night
When we'd
curl up on the couch
How you loved
Scooby Do
And Oscar,
that funny grouch!
I remember
when we "dated"
And you took
me out to lunch
You'd say,
"We're going to McDonald's"
But I already
had that hunch
I remember
when you caught
Your first
fish with your pole
I took a picture
of you holding it
When you were
four years old
Whenever I
am lonely
My memories
are there for me
I open the
window of my soul
Where only
I can see
I wish we had
more time my child
I wish there
had been more years
It's been
so hard to go on
And shed so
many tears
But one thing
is for certain
One things
never going to change
My love for
you is endless
Though my
heart was rearranged
I know that
you're in Heaven
And I know
that you're ok
But what I'd
give for one more minute
To make another
memory today
