Complicated - Chapter 3

Sydnie pulled into her Appartment Complex parking garage and sighed. She'd had a long day applying for Colleges and then at work and needed a good sleep. She parked in her usual spot and walked over to the Main Entrance door. Once inside she nodded at the cute receptionist.

"Hey Bobby!" She hollared at him.

"Hey Syd, long day at work?" He asked. He always knew just what she was thinking.

"Yeah...I think I need a kiss from my baby." She replied, a small smile playing on her lips.

"Oh really now?" He asked. Without a second thought he hopped over the counter and scooped her up, making sure to smother her in kisses.

"Ahh Booobbbbyyy..." She wined. "We're in public."

"So?" He laughed.

"Well alright...you may continue" She giggled. But before he could they heard a man clear his throat.

"I believe that is enough." The man scoffed. Bobby had a guilty look on his face.

"Uh..sorry Mr.Mason it won't happen again...I promise" Bobby spoke to his boss. Sydnie gave Bobby an appologetic look before heading over to the elevators. Once upstairs she took a left and stopped at Appartment 7C. She went into her purse trying to find her keys, but before she could find them she saw the door open.

"Heyy Syd...I could hear you out here.." Her sister laughed.

"Haha yea..I must've misplaced my keys or something." Syd responded. She entered the appartment and saw two guys that she had never seen before sitting down at the kitchen table.

"Jord, who are they?"She questioned.

"Oh...them? Thats Benji and thats Joel...I kind've..welllll..."She trailed off.

"What did you do?" Sydnie sighed.

"Actually she didn't do anything...it was me...i accidently hit her car....we're just exchanging information." That guy Benji smiled at her.

"Oh...okay then... uhh Jordan can you come with me?" Syd quetioned, pulling Jordan's arm before letting her answer.

"Owwww whats your problem?" Jordan whined childishly.

"Whats my problem?! You just totally let two strangers into our house! You don't know them...they could be murderers for all we know! I swear sometimes you act more like 2 rather than 18."Sydnie scolded.

"Murderers? Come on Syd...lighten up...I highly doubt that...and besides...they're pretty cute don'tcha think? I was thinking maybe you and Joel could hit it off...." She playfully smiled.

"Jooorrddann how many times must I tell you that I'm still with Bobby!" Sydnie cried.

"Ugghh...why do you waste your time? Syd...you know what he does and what he's like..."Jordan begged.

"But Jord....I love him....and besides he's not like that anymore..he promised" Sydnie told her.

"Yeah okay whatever you say...but I'm gunna go back out there now...Benji is soo cute!" She smiled.

"Alright...you do that...I needa take a nap anyways."Syd resonded collapsing on her bed.

"Mmmk..." And with that Jordan was back out in the Livingroom/Kitchen.

"Heyy guys...sorry about that. My sister is really over tired and stuff." Jordan told Benji and Joel.

"Thats alright....so we're murderers huh?" Joel laughed.

"Oh don't mind her....she's just got alot of stuff going on right now." Jordy admitted.

"Thats okay, we don't mind." Benji said smiling at her. He couldn't help but notice how pretty she was. Joel noticed and took the oppurtunity to speak for him.

"So...uh...Jordan how old are you..and uh your sister too?" He asked. Jordan smiled. She could totally tell that he thought her sister was pretty. She wanted to hook them up badly, no more like needed to.

"Oh well I'm 18 and Sydnie's 19...heyy you guys want a drink or something? We got sprite in the fridge." Jordan replied.

"Sure sounds cool." They simultaniously responded. She looked at them funny before darting across the room, and instantly returned with three soda cans. One for each of them.

"Here ya go." She smiled, making sure to look more towards Benji's way. She seated herself right next to Benji.

"Well.....we probably should get going now, but we'll be back in the morning to finish going over everything. Is that alright?" Benji asked her.

"Yeah sounds cool...maybe Sydnie will be alittle more...umm...happier tomorrow." All three of them laughed.

"Well...bye Jordan..it was nice meeting you." Benji smiled. Joel and Benji walked to the door and let themselves out.

"Ahhh Joel..I think I'm in love." Benji sighed.

"Dude...you love every pretty girl you see." Joel laughed.

"Shut up...I resent that."

"Its true man...so what is left to 'Go Over?' huh?" Joel asked with a devilish smile.

"Nothin really...I wanted to give her and her sister tickets to tomorrow's show." Benji replied walking away.

"Figures" And with that Joel ran to catch up with his brother.

Benji and Joel drove back to the hotel and park the somewhat damaged car in their assigned spot. There, Mark was waiting for them.

"It took you THAT long to go to-" Mark began, but stopped when he saw his car. "What'd you do?!" Benji and Joel forgot about having to face Mark. They had forgotten that it was his car to begin with. And now, after meeting those nice girls (even though Sydnie was a little.. crabby), they were in good moods. But they had just met Mark that day and ALREADY wrecked his car.

"Well," Joel said, getting out of the car. Benji looked at him, pleading with his eyes for his brother not to tell Mark it was all his fault. "Me and Benj weren't paying attention to the road and goofing off, and we just hit the car in front of us. We're really sorry, right Benji?"

"Yeah, man. We were being stupid. It was mostly my fault." Benji couldn't let Joel take all the blame. And he knew Joel would do that for him if it came down to it. He never really let Joel know how much he appreciated him. He just wasn't the type to show those sort of feelings towards his brother. But he tried to show it in ways he hoped Joel would pick up on and still remain to look tough and fearless.

"I don't really care who's fault it is. Did you need to exchange information with whoever you hit?" Mark asked, trying to stay calm. Billy, Paul, and Dave had come down from their hotel rooms to witness everything going on at this point. Their jaws dropped when they saw the car with Benji and Joel standing there looking ashamed. But as Mark asked that last question, the twins tried their hardest not to smile.

"Yeah, we did. But we're giving them tickets to the show tomorrow to make up for it," Benji quickly replied.

"And what do you plan on doing about this?" Mark asked yet another question, pointing towards the mess that had been created on the front of the car. Benji and Joel looked at each other. Benji gave Joel an apologetic look and shrugged.

"We'll make it up to you," Joel said. He watched as Billy sighed and walked back off towards his hotelroom. Paul was using Dave as a personal leaning post, finding this whole thing amusing.

"I'm sure you will," Mark directed his comment towards both the boys. The scary thing about it was that he wasn't being sarcastic or mean. He was totally serious and had a smile upon his face. He had stayed so calm during the whole "argument." And with that, Mark was walking back to his hotel room as well. Benji soon followed, but when Joel started walking past Paul and Dave, the two men stopped Joel.

"Dude, what really happened?" Paul chuckled, still leaning on Dave. Joel let out a small laugh and shook his head.

"You know Benji, goofing around. Mark doesn't seem too mad, though, right?" Joel asked, unsure and worried.

"No, man. He took it really well," Paul reassured him.

"And besides," Dave added, "you're too cute to stay mad at." He reached out and lightly pinched Joel's cheek.

Meanwhile, Benji was in his room, searching for a bag of candy he'd bought before they left for the tour. He looked through his bag and even Joel's. He looked in all his pants' pockets. No luck. So, he decided to ask Billy.

"Billy?" he called, popping into Billy's room. "Have you seen my candy anywhere? I can't find it." Benji pouted as he sat next to Billy on his bed. He was putting new strings on his guitar.

"Nope," Billy answered, still paying attention to his guitar. Benji sighed beside him.

"This really sucks. First, I don't get my Slushie, and NOW I don't have my candy," Benji told his friend and bandmate. Billy couldn't believe his ears.

"You just wrecked Mark's car, and YOU'RE complaining about CANDY?!" he exclamied. Benji stared at him for a second in disbelief, but Billy continued. "You aren't even getting the severity of this. It's the FIRST day that we've met this guy, and we're gonna be spending almost half a year with him, and you've ALREADY wrecked his car!"

"Dude, I'm sorry! And I'm sorry I'm not being as dedicated as you!" Benji fired back, standing up from the bed. Billy realized that this argument had the potential to turn into a fight, so he tried to talk in a normal tone.

"Just.. try to concentrate on the road more often instead of singing about a Slushie," Billy tried to smooth things over.

"Okay." Benji turned and walked towards the door, but stopped when he got there. "Billy?" His friend looked up. "How'd you know?" He laughed and Billy smiled.

"I know you too well, Benji," Billy told him. Benji smiled before leaving the room. As Billy strummed his guitar, it now having all its new strings on. But as he began to tune it, he wondered if he really was becoming a workaholic. He HAD just almost flipped out on Benji, one of his best friends. He was just nervous, that's all. Things would be better once the first show kicked ass.

BEEEEEEEEPPPP BEEEPPPPP

Sydnie groggily rolled over and opened her eyes. She made sure to look at her clock to be aware of the time.

"Who the fuck is at the door now...its friggan 7:30 in the friggan morning." She cried. Her feet touched the ground and she exited her room, making sure to stop at Jordan's room before answering the door. Sure enough Jordan layed there sound asleep.

"Yepp..just what I thought." She mumbled. She got to the door and looked out the peep hole to check and see who it was, but she didn't see anyone. She assumed that it had to be Bobby, so she opened the door without thinking. There stood two guys she didn't recognize.

"Who they fuck are you?! Do you realize how early it is?" She yelled. She looked them over and suddenly realized it was the guys from yesterday when Jordan was in the accident. The anger in her face fell, and she suddenly looked appologetic.

"So much for her being more pleasant this morning." Benji laughed at his lame attempt to make a joke. Joel just rolled his eyes.

"Heyy..uhh...look sorry about that. I'm just wicked over tired. Here why don't you guys just come inside. I'll go wake Jordan up...oh and while I'm at it I appologise for being rude yesterday also." Sydnie smiled at them. Joel just gave her a sympathetic look.

"Umm..why don't you guys sit down."Sydnie motioned for them to take a seat on the couch. Benji ran over and plopped down and started laughing. Syd noticed that she hadn't taken her eyes off of Joel since she first saw the two of them in the hallway. She turned her head away and started blushing. Joel noticed and smiled, which only made her blush even more. Jordan did have one thing right though. He was most definatly cute...but she had Bobby...she had to remember that. She loved him....right? No..no of course she did. That was a stupid question to even ask.

"Well...you guys just uh..relax...I'ma go get Jordan now, and then get changed. I look like shit!" She laughed. Benji and Joel joined in, but when she turned around and started walking she could've sworn she heard a faint "No you definatly don't." comming from Joel's direction. She brushed it off and entered Jordan's room.

She tried calling Jordan's name. Nothing. She tried poking her. Nothing. She tried shaking her. Yet Jordan still didn't budge.

"Jordannnnn."Sydnie shook her. Jordan just moaned in her sleep.

"Fine I'm going to go tell Benji to leave since you won't wake up." Jordans eyes shot wide open.

"Thats what I thought...now get dressed." Sydnie laughed. She left her sister, who was frantically rummaging through her closet, so that she could get dressed herself. Even though she had a boyfriend she still wanted to look decent in front of these two cuties.

*~*In The Living Room*~*

Joel made his way to the couch once Sydnie had left the room.

"Real way to be ovbious." Benji laughed.

"Shut up man...it just slipped out...I doubt she heard me anyways." Joel responded.

"You never knooowwwwww." Benji teased. He pinched his brothers cheeks.

"No, but seriously...its sooo cute! Joely likesssss Sydnieeeeeee." Benji continued to childishly tease his brother. Joel just shot him a dirty look. He loved Benj and all, but there's just so much a person can take. Being around Benji 24/7 can get pretty annoying after awhile. Especially with the way Benji can act sometimes.

"I don't like her...." Joel finally said. Benji just raised his eyebrows.

"Well..I mean I don't KNOW her...I just think she's really pretty." Joel responded. Benji just nodded his head.

"Alright. Whatever you say." Benji laughed. Joel gave up on trying to argue.

"Ugh..girls...they take to long to get ready. We need to give them these tickets and leave, so we can be back on time." Benji spoke after a few minutes of silence.

"Hah..yeah..I think we'll make it though. Don't worry." They looked up and noticed the two girls looking at them with puzzled looks.

"Tickets?" Sydnie and Jordan said confused.

"Uh...yeah...we'll you see...." Benji started off. "We uh..we feel really bad about your car and all that...and so to make it up to you...we thought..uh...that you might like free tickets to a concert..." He finished.

"There great seats too...front row center." Joel added.

"Whose the band playing?" Jordan asked.

"Umm..there's three of them. Simple plan..they go on first at like 5:30, then New Found Glory goes on at 7:00 and then the band Good Charlotte goes on at 8:30..."Joel trailed off. Benji gave him a funny look, hinting at why he didn't mention that they were IN Good Charlotte. Joel just continued talking to the girls.

"Well..uh...New Found Glory is good....suuuuree we'll go." Jordan said taking evelope that held the tickets from Joel's posession.

"Wait the concert is tonight?"Syd questioned.

"Yah..is that a problem?" Benji asked.

"FUCK...I have work then...." The smile on Joel's face fell. He didn't want to let this girl get away. He wanted to get to know her better. Jordan tugged on her sisters arm.

"Come on Syd, couldn't you call in sick or something?"Jordan pleaded. Sydnie sighed.

"I'll try my best." Jordan hugged her sister.

"THANK YOU!" Jordan said. Everyone started laughing.

"Well..uhh..we've got to be going now...we've got some stuff to do. We'll see ya at tha show though." Benji said.

"O0oh..you're going to be there too?"Sydnie asked.

"Yepp so look for us.....OH! and I almost forgot...inside the envelope is the tickets AND backstage passes. So make sure you come like an hour and a half or so before the show starts."Joel told the girls. Jordans face lit up. They had never met anyone famous before. She was definatly excited.

"Great! Well bye guys...we'll see you later!" Jordan and Sydnie both walked them to the door, and watched them walk down the hallway to the elevators. Once they were out of sight Sydnie shut the door and turned around. Jordan was just starring at her.

"What?!" Sydnie laughed.

"CALL NOW!' Jordan begged. Sydnie sighed and walked over to their phone. 'This is going to be one intresting night.' Sydnie thought to herself. If she only knew how correct she actually was.
