Living RoomLiving Room: I removed the existing thermostat in January and replaced it with a programmable one on the opposite side of the wall in the dining room. This left a large hole (about 2” dia.) in the living room. This needs to be patched and painted. I’d like to replace the round dimmer with a slider and switch. I’m not really sure what to do with the floor, though. Definitely not wall to wall carpet, but perhaps a large carpet that will cover most of the floor and not destroy the wood under any more than it is already. This room can wait for most of it, and it’s not going to be expensive or time consuming so it’s not a priority.Updates: 03/25/03: We bought a carpet for the floor. It really changed the look of things, and keeps the kids from wiping out as they haul a** around the house.
