Seventeen years ago at the age of 42 I was diagnosed with cardiomyopathy, congestive heart failure and diabetes. Fourteen years ago I sustained third degree burns over thirty percent of my body in an explosion. A few months later my best friend committed suicide and my mother and father died of the same illnesses I have today. On Aug.1st of that year I suffered a heart attack and spent a week in the hospital.Later, another heart attack and stent followed by a mini stroke, bilateral foot drop (paralysis) and spinal stenosis occurred. Many other things have happened far to personal and painful to mention here included being unable to work or drive.
Therefore I dedicate this site to my children... Doug, Ryan, Steven and Kimberly and my Grandchildren Trinity,Hailey,Leah,Callie and Matthew
You are the reason for my existance, my legacy of hope...you are the reasons I keep on keeping on!
I LOVE YOU WITH ALL MY HEART AND SOUL!
Even with the love and support of my kids I soon found myself becoming increasingly depressed and despondent and my faith in God was wavering. My mind was filling up with negative thoughts and I realized that good thoughts must be chosen...they don't just fall into your mind!
Here are a few Possitive Affirmations I rely upon to lift my spirits:

In seeking to meet our own personal needs we should also try to maintain a balance... caring for others. We were not created to live in a vacumm...all alone.
"US and WE....Not I and ME"~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Nobody is a whole chain. Each one is a link. But take away one link and the chain is broken.
WE NEED EACH OTHER. YOU NEED SOMEONE AND SOMEONE NEEDS YOU. Isolated islands we are not. To make this thing called life work, we gotta lean and support, relate and respond, give and take, confess and forgive, reach out and embrace. This is how we survive.... working together.
Life is lonely enough... so let's link up with one another.
