Heather E. Cunningham made her solo cabaret debut in her show Boy Wanted in May, 2003. The show performed at Don’t Tell Mama on restaurant row in New York City on Sunday May 25 at 7pm, Thursday May 29th at 8pm, Friday May 30th at 6:30pm, and Monday June 2nd at 6pm. Boy Wanted takes a comic look at single life through musical theatre numbers, standards, and Heather’s own off beat humor. The program includes songs by such songwriters as Noel Coward, Harnick and Bock, Maltby and Shire, and Martin Sexton among others.
Boy Wanted has musical direction and accompaniment by accomplished musical director and vocal coach Steven D. Cirillo. The director is Kevin Scott Hall, himself a cabaret and recording artist as well as a cabaret director and coach.
