Universal 3

Universal 3 is quickly becoming one of the most talked about bands in the South East. Formed in January of '99, this melodic power-pop band has performed in numerous venues in and around South Carolina as well as up and down the Eastern Seaboard. They have been described by many as "alternative power pop with heavy underlying guitar riffs, and fronted by soarin, heavy emotional vocals..." A unique sound not unlike that of Matchbox 20 and Third-Eye Blind slammed together in a blender with nails! Universal 3 is just that.... a blending of cultures from various areas in NY, NJ, and the Virginia area with influences all blending together to make some "universal" sounds. The band consists of; Fynch(drums), and Richy-Rich(bass) both of whom were formally of the well known Myrtle Beach entity "Phineas Gage". The Group disbanded a few years prior yet reformed with the decision to venture into a refreshing, new "universal" direction of sound. The 3 recruited numerous potential members but decided on the talents of singer/guitarist Mike D. from Middletown NY. Universal3 has embarked on a creative whirlwind and now boasts a wide repertoire of original music that is powerful and refreshing for the new millennium. Their self-financed CD was released in November 1999 and one can be sure that the music you will find on this CD will be interpreted as a cross section of cultures and influences that have been intelligently orchestrated to develop a new sound that can only be defined as....universal.

Chowderhead

Chowderhead was formed in the fall of 1997 with the idea that a cover band didn't have to be bland and tasteless when it came to the music, but could still be a tasteless band! Much like the search for a new Dali Lama, Chowderhead searched high and low for the best of the best... but since Eric Clapton, Geddy Lee and Robert Plant were already "busy" and John Bonham was dead... the group settled in with some local talent. Chowderhead does songs from the 60s - 70s - 80s - 90s and the double zeros - oh glorious day! They take great pride in sifting through tons of records, tapes, cds, bad movies from the 80s, and hundreds of hours standing around Hess-Super-Marts at 3 in the morning eating egg sandwiches to select only the finest cover songs ever written. They then take them through a 26 step learning process, including backward engineering, instrument replacement therapy, and syncopated swimming interpretations - all so your beer goes down smoother and your wings taste deep-friedelicious! Chowderhead.. working hard so you can party hardy (we haven't used that phrase since 1983)! Please note... "Someone else is going to have to drive you home since we have no room in our tour buses (or cars as our friends call them)."
