KICNYS Members are available on request for performing kite demo's. These demo's include but are not limited to performing flying demo's, lectures kite materials, kite building and lessons. If you need someone to do a demo please don't hesitate to contact me at skyraidr@twcny.rr.com to set up a kite demo. Myself, one or several of our members will be glad to set up a kite demo at your location. Below is a few pics of our demos so far. We've had two so far, one with the 4H club from the Oswego NY area and one for the 4H students at Cornell University located in Ithaca NY. The pics below are from the Cornell demo that myself and Joni had conducted for the 4H club. We had the opportunity to explain the materials used in making kites today, fabrics and had a show and tell session explaining the different types of kite and materials used and applique. We also had the opportunity to fly outside in a field and demo some quadline kites. Joni did a demo with her Rev II SUL and taught a few students to fly it as well. I did a demo with my Sky Tiger Hi-60. The demo was a great success and fun was had by all and we hope to do future demo's for the 4H clubs throughout CNY. Not quite sure who had the best time, the students or the teachers? I know me and Joni had a great time! Just way too much fun for one day! Stay tuned to future events.
