Here are some highlights from the second year of JEA-Dix Hills:
- Wednesday, September 4, 1974: First day of school. Half-day classes today only.
- Friday, Dec. 6 (13?), 1974: The 2nd annual JEA-Dix Hills Christmas concert.
- There was an abridged performance of Tchaikowsky's "Nutcracker Suite" by the Primary and Intermediate students.
- This also marked the first public performance by JEA's then brand new Cadet Band for Intermediate and Junior High level students.
- January 17, 1975:A barber shop quartet from Northport performed for JEA students at an assembly.
- January/February 1975: JEA Class Picture Day II.
- Feb. 11, 1975: There was a gymnastics assembly featuring several students from the Schnars Gymnastic Center of Farmingdale, NY.
- Feb. 13, 1975:One of Mrs. Robins' home economics classes prepared a luncheon for Secondary teachers and staff.
- Feb. 26, 1975: Father/Son Basketball Game for Secondary boys and their fathers.
- March 5, 1975: Father/Daughter Square Dance.
- March 19, 1975:JEA-Dix Hills' first annual Sports Night featured the conclusion of the Secondary boys' One-on-One basketball tournament.
- May 10, 1975: Parent Teacher Organization Flea Market. Admission Price: 25 cents.
- May 23, 1975: Spring Concert and Art Show.
- May 29, 1975: Science and Industrial Arts Fair.
- June 6, 1975:
- JEA Senior Prom '75.
- Last Pack 587 gathering of 1974/75 school year.
- June 8, 1975: Second annual JEA family picnic.
- June 13, 1975: Second annual senior graduation ceremony.
- June 16-19, 1975: Field Days.
- June 20, 1975:Last day of school.
- Major Oversight of 1974/75 School Year:There was no yearbook this school year.
