Colors: Dark Green and White (Secondary
color used in 1980s: gold)
Based on a picture I saw during Telecare’s televised tribute to the late Rockville Centre Diocese Bishop John R. McGann, the earliest Holy Trinity football uniform consisted of a plain white helmet, a dark green jersey with a pair of narrow white stripes around each shoulder, and solid white pants.
Helmet
was white with two green stripes running from front to back and a green
football shaped oval with an interlocking H-T logo in which the T formed part
of the word "TITANS."
At
home, the Titans wore a short-sleeved green nylon mesh jersey with white block
numbers on the front, back, and upper sleeves and green pants with two bold
white stripes down each side.
Helmet:
White with two one-inch wide dark green stripes
Home
Uniforms: The dark green home jersey has a white contrast V-neck, the word
TITANS in white Schadow Bold font lettering about the shirtfront numbers and
three narrow white or golden yellow stripes, spaced about one inch apart,
around each sleeve. Striping similar to
that on the sleeves is on the green long hose.
White pants with a wide green stripe (The pants stripe may have been
green-gold-green.) are worn with the dark green jerseys. In 1977, Holy Trinity switched to a solid
white helmet with a dark green Tennessee style T on each side.
Helmet: The shell was now solid white with a
dark green Tennessee-style T logo on each side.
Home
jersey was dark green
with white block numbers, the word "TITANS" in three-inch high full
block letters on the front above the numbers, and white-gold-white-gold-white
Lombardi’s Packers-style sleeve striping. The white away jerseys had
green letters and numbers and green-yellow-green-yellow-green Lombardi's
Packers-style sleeve striping.
Pants were golden yellow with
green-white-green side striping.
For
most of the 1990s, the Holy Trinity Titans wore the following uniform:
Helmet was dark green with two white stripes
running from front to back and the word TITANS in italicized san serif letters
and underlined.
Dark
green home jerseys had white full block numbers on the front and back,
the word "TITANS" on the front above the numbers, and a pair of
one-inch white stripes around each sleeve. These were worn with white pants
with a single one-inch green stripe down each outseam. White away jerseys had
similar graphics, but in reverse colors.
The
Holy Trinity Titans adopted a 1960s New York Jets-influenced uniform design by
1999. The new jerseys now had a double-outline effect around the numbers, and
the words "HOLY TRINITY" replaced "TITANS" on the front of
the white road jerseys. In the 2001 season, the dark green helmets were
replaced by white helmets with two one-inch green stripes down the middle from
front to back and a green oval logo decal.
