Theme Song: “I Have Christ In My Heart”
Opening Bible Verse: Hebrews 13:8
Closing Epigram: “Keep Looking Up”

·        Word for Today
Opening Theme Song: “The Spirit Song”
Announcer: “Welcome to The Word for Today. The Bible says faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God . . .” (Romans 10:17)
Closing Theme late 1970s-mid-to-late 1980s: “Open My Eyes Lord”

·        Hour of Deliverance/Voice of Power with R. W. Schambach
Opening Theme Song: “There is Power in the Blood” by Lewis E. Jones
Opening by R.W. Schambach over the theme song: “The Hour of Deliverance (The Voice of Power) is on the air!” Then Brother Schambach reads a Bible verse. (After the name change from Hour of Deliverance to Voice of Power, the opening Bible verse was I Corinthians 2:4, 5.)
Closing Theme Song: “Bless the Lord, O My Soul” based on Psalm 103
Closing Epigram: “You don’t have any trouble; all you need is faith in God.”

1.      1979 Theme: “This little light of mine, I’m gonna let it shine.”

2.      The theme music after the switch to WLIX was a gospel-rock arrangement in A-flat major for organ and drums

·        No Greater Love
Theme Song: “No Greater Love” by Ralph Carmichael

·        Jim Pendleton

1.      1979 theme was the exact same recording of “The Spirit Song” used by The Word for Today.

2.      1980: As I remember, it was a high strings-dominated arrangement of “Because He Lives.”

·        The Believer’s Voice of Victory with Kenneth Copeland

Opening Epigram: “Hello! I’m Kenneth Copeland.  In a moment, I’ll be back with today’s message.”
1979 Theme had these lyrics: “Get your Bible; I’ll show you a story . . .”
1980- Theme: “The Believers’ Voice of Victory is preaching the Word, and the Word of faith is going out all over the world.”

·        Every Day With Jesus
Theme song: “Every day with Jesus” sung by Dan Betzer (“Every day with Jesus is sweeter than the day before.”)

·        Highway to Heaven
Theme Song: “Faith in Christ Jesus” (This song is the same as “Faith in Jehovah,” but substitutes “Jesus” for “Jehovah.”)
Opening Epigram over theme song: “Hello, friends.  This is your radio pastor, Reverend J.D. Walker, bringing you the Highway to Heaven broadcast.  Stay tuned for these next few minutes as we preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and we pray the prayer of faith.”

·        Long Island Branch Ministry’s Telephone Time
Theme Song: “Oh, What A Day” performed by Andrus, Blackwood and Company

·         Upper Room Ministry
Theme Song: “He’s Alive” by Jason Alvarez, from his album “Just Give Me Jesus.” (This is not the same somg as Don Francisco’s 1979 CCM hit “He’s Alive.”)

·        Voice of New Life
Theme Song: “All My Life,” written by Stormie and Michael Omartian and recorded by the Imperials.

 

During the 1981/82 period, this song was used as an opening/closing theme by a show airing on WLIX:

 

  1. “Star of the Morning” by Leon Patillo (I believe it was the theme song of the Light of the City Ministry show, but I am not absolutely certain.)
