All About NCPPL

About NCPPL
NCPPL is a USPSA affiliated practical shooting organization that holds IPSC matches in Chateaugay, NY. These matches are held at the Chateaugay Fish and Game Club on Co. Rt. 35. see map
Most matches, range in size from 3 to 4 stages, and around 100 rounds. Each of our matches features one USPSA classifier stage. Shooters may elect to shoot in the Open Division, (highly modified) Limited Division (modified stock guns - no compensators, optical sights, etc.), Limited 10 Division (similar to Limited but mags are limited to maximum of 10 rounds), Production Division (basically box stock double action semi-auto pistols) or Revolver Division. Using a class structure, everyone competes with others of a similar skill level. Novice shooters compete with other novices, etc. Our matches are small in size (normally 10-20 shooters per match) which results in a friendly atmosphere. Many people participate for the camaraderie alone! We welcome and encourage you and come out on the next match day and see what it's all about!

History
Our club began in 1990 after John Amidon and Bob Russell came up to Tupper Lake, to show us what IPSC shooting was all about. We formed a club and began holding matches at the Tupper Lake Fish & Game Club. After a few years we out grew the range and found ourselves at out present location. Our membership never really grew but out range did! We now have 4 shooting bays and some shelters to get out of the sun or rain.
