Trish
was doing the dishes, she really hated this but she didn't really have
a choice. When she had moved back home, her mother had told her that she
expected her to help around the house. Why did she move back in the first
place? Yeah, that was right, that stupid boyfriend. After high school she
had moved in to the main land to go to college, it had been the great.
She had loved the freedom in the city. And after some months she had met
this guy. She new he was bad news, but he was just so sweet, and he knew
the just the right words to whisper in her ear. She had fell in love with
him; he had been the centre of her world. After some time they decided
to move in together, it was soon, she new, but they both were short in
money, so it seemed like a good plan.
And
it had been nice, for a while. But then the things started to go wrong,
the apartment was so small, so they were just in
each
others face all the time, and it was all too much too soon. Then one day,
she came home early from school and found him in bed with another girl.
She had freaked, she didn't know what to do, she was so mad with him. So,
she had packed her bags and moved home. There was no reason to stay in
the city any more. Home was boring, but at least she knew what to expect.
She
finished the dishes and went to her room. She looked around, man, shehated
to live there. She felt so stuck, wasn't life supposed to be more than
this? She put on a Backstreet Boys CD and turned on the computer, maybe
some of her friends were online.
Some
minutes later she stared at the screen. She couldn't believe it. No one
was on. No one. And she had no new e-mails, none! This sucked. She went
to her CD player and turned up the volume, at least she had her boys. Then
she heard a sound from the computer, oh, someone had logged on. She went
to the computer and saw that sunlight had come on.

Later
the same evening Linda was trying to study. But she couldn't concentrate.
She was thinkingabout the possibility of Trish moving to London. That would
be so cool. The apartment was big enough for two, there were two bedrooms.
When she had decided to move from Germany to London to study, her parents
had bought this apartment. They looked at it as an investment, and it was
nice with two bedrooms when they came to visit. But she felt a bit lonely
there at times.
She
closed the books, that was enough for tonight. She went to the kitchen
to find something to eat. She looked in the refrigerator, it was almost
empty, she sighed. Better go to the supermarket tomorrow she thought. She
didn't feel like going out tonight. And she wasn't that hungry anyway.
She went and put on a Backstreet boys CD instead, soon Nick Carters voice
filled the room. " open up, your heart to me, and say what's on your mind....but
I still need you in my life this time, I need you tonight". She looked
out the window; it was a clear night, millions of stars on the sky. I need
you tonight, she thought and sighed, damn Nick, I really need you tonight.
