In the 2001 off-season the Rangers aquired Lindros from the Philadelphia Flyers along with a conditional draft pick in exchange for Jan Hlavac, Pavel Brendl and Kim Johnsson. The big power-forward won the Hart Memorial Trophy in 1994/95 as the league's Most Valuable Player. In that year he posted career highs with, 47 goals, 68 assists and 115 points. Lindros has had injury problems in the past that kept him from playing in the 2000/01 season.
