MANOR
The Early Years
It all started a long time ago in the little village of Fly Creek, New York.
Circa 1933
Back Row: Bill, Stonie, John Q., Frank, Tony
Front Row: Mom (Gertrude), Annie, Andy, Pop (Frank)
In 1939 Mom & Pop bought the Oriskany Hotel and moved the clan to this quaint little village located on Rte.69 halfway between Utica and Rome. After the boys returned home from World War II in 1946 Tony, Stonie, Bill, & Andy bought the Waterbury Estate in Oriskany, N.Y.
With help from mom & pop along with sister Ann, the boys started to convert this beautiful home into an even more beautiful restaurant. The other two boys, Frank & John decided to go into the trucking business where they flourished until their respective retirements.
Below are some pictures of the original dining rooms.
