My friend's gave it to me a while ago and it stuck since....I got it mostly because I'm reading a lot. *motions to the book besides her* When's yer birthday? Know how old ya are? August 10, I'm 16. Whatcha look like? About 5'7", brown hair, and blue eyes. I usually keep my hair up in a ponytail. I wear basically wear the same thing as all the other newsies, and I'm not really sure what nationality I am....my parents didn't talk about their past much. And wadda ya like, huh? Got mucha a personality? I am nice, although I have a real stubborn streak in me. I don't get mad easily (thankfully). I do have to admitt I'm pretty quiet..I usually sit off to the side and watch everybody.... So... where'd ya come from an' watcha doin heah? Well I sort of ran away from home, and I wandered around a while before landing in New York and becoming a newsie. My parents weren't the best people, although I wouldn't say they were the worst either... they're somewhere inbetween, I just felt too overwhelmed there and I wasn't allowed to do anything, so I left. Don't suppose ya got any friends, do ya? Well, I'm not a very popular person, but I do have friends, a couple in the lodging house...and a couple people not in the lodging house. What about a, uh, significant othah, hmm? *wink wink nudge nudge* Nope, I don't have a significant otha at the moment.. maybe I'll find one soon. Waddya do 'round heah? *Shrugs and doesn't really answer, goes back to reading* If ya emptied ya pockets right now, what'd be in 'em? Possibly some change, a book mark, and maybe a couple other random things Anythin' else we oughta know? Nope. Not that I can think of. Back to the bunkroom
