A quick history:     Back to G-1: Review A-III      Teletran-1

This is my first Inferno.  I bought it on Jun. Xxi, Mmiii and it cost me about $(XXXV) XXXVII from Image Anime.  Thank God they re-issued him again because back in the old day there was no way I could afford him.  So now, he's part of my toy collection.

R-0 Original Inferno's motto and tech specifications:

Affiliate: autobots | Subgroup: none | Function: search & rescue | Alt. Mode: fire truck |

| STR 9 | INTL 6 | SPD 4 | ENDN 8 | RNK 5 | CRG 9 | FRPW 6 | SKL 6 |

Original G1 Inferno Motto:

"Where there's smoke, there's me."

Original G1 Inferno Bio:

The hotter things get, the better I like it!"...not only fires, but battles, too.  Often distracted from performing his job to engage in combat.  Can do anything Earth fire trucks can in vehicular mode.  Great strength, ceramic-plates armored skin can withstand 8000 C.  Extinguisher rifle shoots flame-suppressing foam and an energy dampening beam to counter other beams.  Forearms shoot missiles.  Doesn't follow orders well, not very mobile as robot.

These images were all photographed and scanned by me.  If you're a Transformers fan, this will definitely bring back some reminiscences.

R-1 Inferno in its Original condition:

Infernoorig.jpg (88876 bytes)1 - Inferno front view of the boxart.

2 - Here's how it look once you opened the cover revealing Inferno and the Data files.  (No it does not included Sixshot PVC, he was there to hold the cover from closing)

3 - Here's the box was removed exposing the main unit itself, Inferno and his accessories.

4 - These are all the contents that were included in the box/ package/ card: "1" fire truck,  "2" hands, "3" missiles, "1" gun, "2 white flank for the head,  "1" trading card, and "1" sticker sheet, "1" instruction sheet, "1" Inferno World art, "2" Dreamwave art with toy catalog (feature: Ultra Magnus, Bumblejumper, Swerve, Brawn, Pipe, Tailgate, Powerglide, Beach Comber, Seaspray, Metroplex, Steeljaw, Ramhorn, Eject, and Rewind), and "3" data files (images of Inferno, Bumbleblee, and Red Alert).

R-2 Pre-Applied Decals/ Stickers:

There are 3 Pre-Applied paint decal that had been applied onto Inferno.  The first two are located on either side of his rear Crane truck just above the wheel.  It's his trademark construction logo sticker.  The last pre-applied sticker is the Autobot Rub Sign logo below the cab.

Sticker Sheet:

DecalInferno.jpg (43709 bytes)There are 10 registered numbering of stickers on the sticker sheet.  But in reality it's actually 18 stickers since some of the repeat stickers are labeled as one instead of two.  These registering numbering do not include the Pre-applied stickers.

R-3 Inferno in Vehicle Mode:

g1infernoveh1.jpg (63649 bytes)In fire truck mode, Inferno ladder can be extended out 2 and 1/2 of his overall length.  Inferno is very light because he only has a very thin layer of die cast metal on him and that is on his feet.  Unlike the original (1984) and the first reissue (2002 ?), the new book style Inferno eye has blue eye as well as pre-applied paint instead of yellow eye and pre-applied sticker.  This method is actually better because it's more cartoon accurate after Inferno does have blue eye.  Moreover, having the pre-applied paint will definitely last longer than the sticker version.  For those that have trouble finding Inferno rubsign, it actually had been relocated and put underneath his cab hood.

R-4 Inferno in Robot Mode:

g1infernorob1.jpg (72433 bytes)In robot mode Inferno looks pretty much like his cartoon counterpart.  Both of Inferno wrist sockets are loaded with spring so his two hands or missiles can be fired out.  Unfortunately, that turned out to be a disadvantage because if you leave his hand in the wrist socket over a period of time it will cause a stress on the spring to prevent it from firing at a far distance.  Also, I thought the two white flanks on either side of Inferno head is a hassle since the connection is kind of rigid and tends to fall off easily if you touch that section too many time.  One thing which I thought it was cool and unlike Grapple is that Inferno came with an extra chrome gun that mounted on the back of his head which I had never aware of it existence.  Yes, I said two hand so if you don't want your Inferno to look like Shockwave, you can replace the arm with the missile with another hand.

Overall Grade: [A] - He looks pretty much like the cartoon.
