A quick comment:     Back to G-1: Review A-VII      Teletran-1

This is my first Powerglide toy and I bought it on Jan. Xxix, Mmiv from Image Anime which cost me $XXXV.  I had always wanted to own him when I was a pup, now it's becoming a reality.

R-0 Original Powerglide's motto and tech specifications:

Affiliate: autobots | Subgroup: none | Function: warrior | Alt. Mode: jet |

| STR 3 | INTL 7 | SPD 8 | ENDN 7 | RNK 5 | CRG 8 | FRPW 6 | SKL 9 |

Original G1 Powerglide Motto:

"To stop me, you have to catch me first."

Original G1 Powerglide Bio:

A show off...proud that he's one of few Autobots that can fly.  Incredible maneuverability...delights in displaying his dazzling aerial virtuosity to friends or foes...just wants their appreciation of his talent.  Cruises at 500 mph...can increase power output and speed to 32000 mph for short periods.  Carries small concussion bombs...shoots thermal beam as plane and robot.  Gets into more troubles with enemy planes than he can handle.

These images were all photographed and scanned by me.  If you're a Transformers fan, this will definitely bring back some reminiscences.

R-1 Powerglide in its Original condition:

minibotorig.jpg (84252 bytes)1 - Powerglide in its brand new condition from the box, front and back of box.

2 - Here's how it looked once you opened the cover revealing some of the contents.

3 - Here's how the content looks once the box was removed revealing contents on clear plastic tray.

4 - These are all the contents that were included in the box/ package/ card:  "1" volkswagen car, "1" 4WD off road truck, "1" semi American truck cab, "1" ufo space craft, "1" A-10 thunderbolt II jet, "1" sheridan tank, "6" trading cards (Bumblebee, Gears, Huffer, Cosmo, Powerglide, and Warpath), "1" instruction sheet, "1" miscellaneous text sheet, "1" world art featuring those 6 characters in their original G1 art, "3" data files (image of Warpath, Gears, and Huffer), "2" pages dreamwave art with toy catalog (Sky Lynxx, Giftset of Optimus Prime, Mirage, and Red Alert, Transformable watches featuring Ultra Magnus, Galvatron, and Superion.  Mini transformable Choro Q of Prime and a white version of assuming Ultra Magnus with Prime trailer).

R-2 Pre-Applied Decals/ Stickers:

There are 3 Pre-Applied sticker that had been applied onto Powerglide.  The first one is the regular Autobot insignia which located just below his neck.  The second one is a rectangle sticker located below the regular Autobot insignia.  The last pre-applied sticker is the Autobot Rub Sign logo located on Powerglide feet.

Sticker Sheet:

Powerglide does not come with any sticker sheet.

R-3 Powerglide in Vehicle Mode:

powerglideveh.jpg (33754 bytes)In vehicle mode, Powerglide is an A-10 Thunderbolt II jet whose measurement is approximately 2 13/16 x 3 10/16 x 1 (LxWxH in inch).  Unfortunately there is no wheel under his jet only false wheels so you cannot roll him on the floor.

R-4 Powerglide in Robot Mode:

powergliderob.jpg (43320 bytes)In robot mode, Powerglide is one of the very few Minibots whose face looks very much like the cartoon.  Powerglide overall body or appearance seem to match his cartoon as well so I thought that was a plus.  For his size, Powerglide has one of the nicest articulation among his Minibots group which include neck, shoulder (forward and sideway), and elbow.

Special Notes:  Here are "2" special notes which I thought you should know:

1 - Again, Transformers Collection #12, comes with 6 figures (Bumblebee, Gears, Huffer, Cosmo, Powerglide, and Warpath).

2 - Due to the upper body and the style of transformation, in time, Powerglide will suffer the compression leg syndrome once the material wears itself out.  In other word, Powerglide leg will shrink down and bury into his feet which will make him look shorter.  If you want to avoid the problem, then leave them in his vehicle mode.

Overall Grade: [C] - Powerglide is an okay action figure.  There isn't much you can do with his small size, limited articulation, and doesn't come with any accessories.
