This is my first Scooter action figure.  As a kid I had always wanted to own him but just didn't have the finance to purchase it.  Now I'm glad to have him as part of my collection.  I got him on Apr. V, Mmiv for $XIV.L from Ebay

Unfortunately the Gobots action figure doesn't come with any motto or tech & spec like the Transformers action figure.

These  images were all photographed and scanned by me.  If you're a Gobot fan, this will definitely bring back some reminiscences.

R-2 Pre-Applied Decals/ Stickers: 

There are 2 Pre-Applied sticker that had been applied onto Scooter.  The first decal is located on his abdominal, it's a huge rectangle sticker.  The last sticker is just below that and it's on his waist.  This sticker is also rectangle but smaller.

Unlike the Transformers, none of the Gobots action figure come with sticker sheet.

R-3 Scooter in Vehicle Mode:

In scooter mode, Scooter measures approximately 2 10/16 x 1 1/2 x 2 (LxWxH in inch).  Personally, I think the little bugger is actually hot in this mode.  I guess the designer did a pretty good job on Scooter.  He comes with 3 wheels, 1 large wheel on the front and 2 small wheels on the back.  So with 3 wheels, you don't have to be concerned whether Scooter will sway to one side or not like a motorcycle.  My only minor complaint is that I just wish the two rear wheels were a little bit bigger because as of now it's hard to make him roll on the floor.  

R-4 Scooter in Robot Mode:

Just like his vehicle mode, in robot mode, Scooter is even more impressive.  His body is well balance out and the proportion fit nicely in horizontal and vertical direction.  The articulation is pretty good for its time.  Moreover, Scooter is one of the very few Gobots to look like his cartoon counterpart in both robot and vehicle mode.  Although Scooter has no real negative drawback, he does have two minor issues that need to be addressed.  First of all, the bump that located on either side of Scooter head cause a huge stress onto the adjacent part during transformation.  Too much transformation or not precautious can cause the chest connection to break off.  If you want to fix this problem, then used a Xactor knife and lightly scrape some of the bump off.  The bump function is to lock the front wheel bumper from collapsing in vehicle mode, but because Scooter is always on the ground and not on air, then this bump serves no used.  The second issue is that Scooter tends to fall backward thanks to the weight of the die cast metal on his back.  To avoid this problem, put Scooter on a flat

Here's a closed up shot image of Scooter original card art.  I usually don't include box/card art in my review but because the Gobots card arts are so rare and hardly any website has them, I decided to put into this review.  Unfortunately, almost all the Gobots' card art are cut off due to the bad presentation or arrangement on the card.  It is nearly impossible to find these Gobots Card Arts in any other medium or merchandize as way to get complete drawing since these Gobots arts hardly get produced into other format.  So the only thing we can do as Gobotron fans, is tried to fix these card arts by ourselves.

Transformation Of Difficulty: [Easy]  

Material Durability: [-A] - Pretty durable.

Materials: Die Cast Metal:  Back Plate.  Chrome Part: None.  Rubber: None (Plastic wheel).  Plastic: Main material.  Clear Plastic Window: None.

Stability: [C] - Due to the weight of the die cast metal on Scooter's back, Scooter is easily fall backward if the surface isn't flat. 

Fun Toy: [B] - It's above average.  Could be a little bit more fun if this toy come with weapon.  But then again, Gobots action figure hardly come with any weapon.

Negative Drawback - Other than the problem mentioned in Stability section, Scooter doesn't have any real negative drawback.

Articulations: Head: Cannot be rotated however it can be tiled up or down by 4 degree. Shoulder: Can be swung at a 360 degree as well as a 180 degree sideway.. Arm/ Elbow: Cannot be bent. Wrist/ Hand: Cannot be bent.  Hip/ Waist: Cannot be rotated.   Leg: Can only be kick backward at a 90 degree angle.   Knee: Can be bent at a 90 degree angle.  Ankle/ Feet: Cannot be bent and no sideway movement.

Robot's Cartoon looks alike: [A] - Definitely looks like the cartoon

Vehicle's Cartoon looks alike: [+A] - Look even more like the cartoon then the vehicle mode.

Special Notes: Here are "2" special notes that I think you should know:

1 - When transforming between robot mode and scooter, be very precautious on Scooter head when flipping.  The bump that located on either side of Scooter head cause a stress onto the adjacent piece.  If this piece break, then the chest plate will fall off.

2 - If you have a hard time connecting the chest plate onto his arm in scooter mode, be sure that his arm is a little slanted other wise it will not properly join with one another.

Overall Grade: [+A] - I have to admit but I think the Scooter action figure is even more impress than his cartoon counterpart.  The litter bugger actually looks great in toy.
