A quick comment:     Back to Reneades Review Page      Gobots Homepage

This is my first Crasher action figure.  As a kid I had always wanted to own him but just didn't have the finance to purchase it.  Now I'm glad to have him as part of my collection.  I got him on Feb. Xiv, Mmv for $XXXI (XXXVI) from Ebay

R-0 Crasher's motto and tech specifications:

| Affiliate: renegade | Subgroup: none | Function: -- | Alt. Mode: racing car |

| STR -- | INTL -- | SPD -- | ENDN -- | RNK -- | CRG -- | FRPW -- | SKL -- |

Crasher's Motto:

Not Applicable.

Crasher's Bios:

Not Applicable.

Unfortunately the Gobots action figure doesn't come with any motto or tech & spec like the Transformers action figure.

These  images were all photographed and scanned by me.  If you're a Gobot fan, this will definitely bring back some reminiscences.

R-1 Crasher in its Original condition:

2 - This is the back of the card.

3 - These are all the contents that were included in the box/ package/ card:  "1" racing car.

R-2 Pre-Applied Decals/ Stickers:

Crasher came with 7 pre-applied sticker.  The first four stickers are located on the side of the racing car mode (2 on each side).  The fifth sticker is at the front of the car hood which is the large #1 sticker.  The sixth and seventh sticker is the small number sign with "0" and "1" locate just on top of the car but very close to the rear.

Sticker Sheet:

Unlike the Transformers, none of the Gobots action figures come with sticker sheet.

R-3 Crasher in Vehicle Mode:

crasherveh1.jpg (44068 bytes)Crasher in racing car mode measures approximately 2 15/16 x 1 6/16 x 3/4 (LxWxH in inch).  This mode is also the most stable when compare to robot mode.  When transforming back from robot mode to vehicle mode, pushing the shoulder joint connection into the socket of the car seem to be a little bit complicated so you might want to rotate the arm a little bit in order to get the proper angle.  Other than this, Crasher is definitely beautiful especially this black version like the cartoon in contrast to the Crasher all white variation.

R-4 Crasher in Robot Mode:

crasherrob1.jpg (49884 bytes)In robot mode, Crasher is definitely looked cool thanks to the nice body proportion and the figure is very balance in both vertical and horizontal scale.  The colors and the decal match her body appearance and attitude perfectly.  Unfortunately, Crasher has one of the least articulation among the Gobots action figure just like Leader-1.  Other than the movable shoulder, she's pretty much static.  On the positive side, Crasher has one of the most massive die cast metal of the Gobot line.  These die cast metal can be found on Crasher entire back and the back plate of the lower leg.

R-5 Crasher's Card Art:

GobotsBAcrasher.jpg (47440 bytes)Here's a closed up shot image of Crasher original card art.  I usually don't include box/card art in my review but because the Gobots card arts are so rare and hardly any website has them, I decided to put into this review.  Unfortunately, almost all the Gobots' card art are cut off due to the bad presentation or arrangement on the card.  It is nearly impossible to find these Gobots Card Arts in any other medium or merchandize as way to get complete drawing since these Gobots arts hardly get produced into other format.  So the only thing we can do as Gobotron fans, is tried to fix these card arts by ourselves.

Transformation Of Difficulty: [Easy]

Material Durability: [-A] - Pretty durable.

Toy Materials: Die Cast Metal:  Back and leg.  Chrome Part: Wheels rim.  Rubber: Wheels.  Plastic: Main material.  Clear Plastic Window: Front window shield

Stability: [-A] - Pretty stable.

Fun Figure: [B] - It's above average.  Could be a little bit more fun if this toy come with weapon.  But then again, Gobots action figure hardly come with any weapon.

Negative Drawback - None.

Articulations: Head: Cannot be rotated. Shoulder: Can be swung at a 360 degree angle.  Arm/ Elbow: Cannot be bent.  Wrist/ Hand: Cannot be bent.  Hip/ Waist: Cannot be rotated.   Leg: Cannot be bent.   Knee: Cannot be bent.  Ankle/ Feet: Cannot be bent or rotated sideway.

Robot's Cartoon looks alike: [-A] - In an exception to the face, it pretty much looks like the cartoon

Vehicle's Cartoon looks alike: [A] - Very much like the cartoon.

Special Notes: Here's "1" special note which I think you should know:

1 - Due to the heavy weight on the upper body and the style of transformation, Crasher will suffer the compression leg syndrome over the long run.  In other word, Crasher leg will shrink down and bury into her feet which will make Crasher looks shorter.  If you want to avoid the problem, then leave Crasher in vehicle mode.

Overall Grade: [A] - Like so many of the other Gobots action figures, Crasher also falls into this category whose action figures look even hotter than its cartoon counterpart.  It's a shame that the Gobots action figures are so under rated when compared to the Transformers when in reality these Gobots look a lot better.
