"Write it on your heart that every day is the best day in the year."
~Ralph Waldo Emerson

When I was at a seminar in Mexico a few years ago, I awoke each morning before dawn. We were staying right on the beach, so I would walk to my 'special' spot and greet the new day's sun. At night I'd watch the sun dip beneath the horizon and welcomed back the mystical moon. Each moment in between was spent honoring the earth and celebrating life.

In a perfect world, every day would be spent this way, and in some cultures, perhaps they still are. But with most of us, there are jobs to go to, and appointments to keep, and bills to pay, so somehow celebrations were set aside for 'special occasions'.

My first Mother's Day on the web, I made a special page honoring my mom and a special gift she gave me the day she passed. From there I added my personal thoughts on a few more holidays I celebrated and so I've decided to group them together into a 'Celebrations' section. I'll be adding to them as time progresses, probably changing them a bit from year to year.

Please do visit the following pages, especially 'My Mom's Gift' which is truly a message for every day, not just one we've collectively set aside to honor our mothers.

As you visit, keep in mind that the most special moments of life rarely come with parades or party hats. Each sunrise is a reason to dance, as is each star-filled night, and every moment in between.

Enjoy your visit....and may every moment of your life be a celebration
